Michael P. Shea was born and raised in Norwalk, CT. He attended and graduated from Central Catholic High School in Norwalk and then received a baseball scholarship to attend Valencia Junior College in Orlando. After two years at Valencia Junior College, he was offered a scholarship to transfer to Saint Thomas University in Miami where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration.
His first job out of college was with a nationwide trucking company as their Operations Supervisor. After 10 years with the trucking company, he decided to go into business for himself as a distributor for Arizona Iced Tea. After several years of building the soft drink distribution company, he sold it to pursue other business opportunities.
While he was looking for new opportunities, he discovered a screen and window repair company named "Carbonneau's Home Repair" at the time. Carbonneau's Windows and Doors was established in 1954 by the Carbonneau's who remained the original owners until Mike purchased 100 percent of the company. Mike continued to work out of the small shop and the one work truck that Mr. Carbonneau had acquired over the years. After three years of renting at the old Carbonneau's location and rebuilding the brand name he purchased a new office and two warehouse spaces in Margate, Florida. Mike obtained his Glass and Glazing Contractor License (Lic #SCC131151291). This license is a specialty license that allows Carbonneau's Windows and Doors to install, remove and replace Doors, Windows, and Screening.
Carbonneau's has grown from two employees to a crew of thirteen and it currently has six trucks on the road weekly. His business philosophy and number one priority at Carbonneau's is customer service. Mike takes pride in providing the highest level of customer service and ensuring that every member of his team meets or exceeds these requirements. Carbonneau's prides itself on customer satisfaction and is committed to giving the best service and craftsmanship to all their customers.
